The skies are sunny in Virginia, but it is too cold for the beach so the Orples are visiting Sylvia in sunny Southern Florida today. It appears it is just anotherdayinparadise as the Orples are reminded of their sleeping arrangements in their Treasure Tree … that is another story, book 2 of the Orples Trilogy covers the story of how the Orples turned their orange tree into ‘The Treasure Tree‘, if the event you didn’t already know.
Some dude was peacefully taking a nap when the Orples arrived and now he is buried under Olivia. I simply don’t understand how those adventuresome little Orples can get into so much trouble without even trying. Let me go gather the neighborsto see if we can help pull Olivia off of that poor guy getting smashed in the hammock.
Maria not only has a tropicalflowerzone, she has beautiful butterflies on her blog too. The Orples seem to have made a new friend—Ms. Paper Kite Butterfly. Speaking of butterflies; Amazon has some really cool Butterfly Sticker Booksavailable if you love butterflies as much as we do, and stickers are a fun addition to snail mail letters & packages, scrapbook entries, etc. Amazon has some cool ‘how to make‘ Paper Kites books, too. I even found one that features butterflies, among other things from around the world . With March right around the corner, paper kites come to mind in more ways than one.
With all of those scrumptious flowers to munch on, I am thinking those three are going to be enjoying an extended lunch. This might be a good time to begin back in the neighborhood, allowing you to review our recent Adventures, so you don’t miss anything. Come along while I refresh my memory — and those three finish lunch.
If you have missed us visiting your blog in the last day or two … no worries … we haven’t forgotten and/or overlooked you, we are just busy trying to set up shop in the hopes that anyone needing toys, books, toy storage, art supplies for children, dress up costumes, and so on will stop by and check out our selections once our shop opens. I have literally been spending every waking hour, not blogging, trying to put the pieces into place to bring you guys a sensible shop to find nice gifts for that special child on your gift list.
Olivia, Oscar, and I have weeded through thousands of items to offer you the basics in a variety of organized categories, saving you time when you shop. I’ll keep you posted as we progress with our efforts to (in the near future) present to you a, well thought out, toy and gift shop. For now, a work station for the creative child on your list may be a good place to begin … just ask the Orples.
If you guys had trouble believing in Orples, check out Jackie’s knitted bluebird. Jackie really does knit with heart… as if the bluebird isn’t sweet enough, check out those lovely flowers she has made. To see more, you need to visit Jackie.
As much as Oscar and Olivia love to chat, we may as well visit the neighborhood as I suspect those two will be awhile. While you guys toggle down through past posts, I think I’ll skip over to Amazon for a minute or two and check out their yarn. I might have to knit my own little bluebird.
AD Martin, one of our neighbors, is a fellow author. He has introduced his readers to some of his favorite characters. Milhouse is one of them. The Orples and I checked in with Mr. Martin to see what he is up to and this is where we met Milhouse. Now we are introducing him to you. If you would like to get to know him better, I suggest you visit AD’s blog, since his introduction is a bit more complete than ours is.
I think I will go knocking on doors, to see if any of our neighborswould like to come along. I am sure Amazon sells Simpson toys, so I think I’ll check them out too.
Once I stop laughing, I’ll finish this post. The Orples and I went to visit Ralph over on Bluefish Way. I warn you now, before you click the link to visit Ralph as he explores his New Year’s Resolution’s for 2014, you may be offended by some of his off-color humor. Of course you’d have to be a real stick in the mud not to laugh because Ralph is always so subtle. The Orples still don’t know why I am still chuckling at his post.
While they are figuring it out. I am going to find Woody and Buzz on Amazon, then I think I wander through the neighborhood to see if thoseguys from Toy Story have found anything for Andy’s Mom to play with. Maybe one of our neighbors will know. Please enjoy this post, Ralph’s post, and any toys the Orples might find.
Olivia and Oscar are wandering through the woods enjoying the Breezes at Dawn. It appears they have found an old can that needs to be set up straight while strolling along on Robin’s blog. They have been looking for a container to keep some of the toys they are accumulating in since Olivia can not stand to see anything out of place.
Maybe they should just buy a new container? They found a really cool toy box on Amazon (and this one won’t rust). It not only holds toys, it has a removable lid that double as a lap board for the artist in your child. Oscar should love that! Come join us as we shop or perhaps you might like to visit the neighbors instead? We will leave that decision up to you. In the meantime, enjoy your day and thank you for stopping by for a visit with us.
Today the Orples are going to plant you smack dab into a Rodeo Carousel. Once you get there, you will find yourself visiting Amy. Amy thinks the world is a book, and she might be right. If you use the arrow keys you can go back and forth through the numerous photos Amy has posted. Or simply hit ‘ESCAPE’ once you are on Amy’s blog, to escape the carousel mode, and peruse her entire post.
Sofia is wicked with that Macro lens of hers. For those of you who have not met her, her little friends, or who have enjoyed her blog, let me introduce you to Sonel’s Corner. The Orples have met a ladybug at Sofia’s place, and a sweet little ladybug she is. When you check out Sophia’s blog, be sure and follow her links as she has a really informative article set on up on the topic of ladybugs for anyone else who is fascinated by these lovely little creatures.
I am sure those of you who have been following Orples for awhile have noticed I’ve been trying to find some interesting merchandise on Amazon to correlate with the articles I post, and the neighbors we visit. As a result, we come up with some cute stuff which we are recommending on our new page … Toys the Orples Recommend … Today’s toy is adorable . You should check it out by following the link to the page above, or on our title bar in general.
Rommel amazes me, claiming to be in a Sophomore Slump. He’s such a lucky guy, and I hope he knows it. Check out one of his recent adventures, which he was kind enough to share through a nice variety of photographs. Rommel is hosting the Orples in one of the fantastic photos he has taken.
While the Orples explore the waterways of The Venetian, the rest of us can visit our other neighbors. Check out the Rules of the Game(I have rewritten this page since re-blogs are no longer an option) to see what we are up to and who our neighbors are in the event you might like to move into our neighborhood and join the fun. You know, while we are on the subject of boats, I was curious to see what kind of boats there are on Amazon. I came across this little toy patrol boat, which has gotten several good product reviews. We thought it was worth a second look and a share as well.
